When you have a good location 
for a car show and you end up being blessed with perfect weather and you have a following of some of the most beautiful British cars owned by some of the nicest people you would ever want to meet .... you end up with a very succesful show.
That's what happened on Sunday July 12th at the Outlet Shoppes in Gettysburg, Pa. The event was started 9 years ago by Lanco and has grown to one of the most succesful four hour shows in the Middle Atlantic area. The Outlet owners block off main street at 
the Colonial type surrounding and the show runs from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. All parking spaces are occupied as well as the center roadway in front of the shops. Capacity, without using overflow areas, is 300 cars. We had 275 this year. Certain show cars are allowed to be parked on the sidewalk area of some shops.
Lanco supports the U.S.Marine Corps Reserve " Toys For Tots " program with this event each year. There is no judging of cars .... just a little tire kicking and a lot of looking, but perhaps one thing that makes the show so succesful is the fact that ladies like to come along so that they are guaranteed four hours of tax-free clothing shopping.
When the show is over at 1:00 P.M. there is still a lot of time left to investigate & tour the battlefield & other attractions in the Gettysburg area.
